This one's always confused me as the American poster for The Return of Godzilla has the same image. Is this really for the 1954 version or for the newer one?
I'm no Godzilla expert, but on further research it seems to be for the 1984 version. In Japan, confusingly, it was simply called *Godzilla*, even though it's not a remake but a sequel. The official English language title in Japan was *The Return of Godzilla*. In the U.S. it was released in an edited version, and renamed to *Godzilla 85* (and also uses this artwork!)
